Building a Coaching Practice While Working a Day Job

There are many steps to building a practice while maintaining a day job. People transitioning into coaching take these steps at different rates. Some do it in a few months and others may choose to take a year. There is no "right" timetable; there is only the timetable that is right for you. Do not judge yourself if you see others moving toward a full practice faster than you. You will move when you are ready.

When you enter the world of coach training you have entered a wonderful, elating, challenging place that is filled with a continuum of emotions. Don't panic and run:) The reward at the end is worth the work. You will have a job that truly satisfies you. You will be making your own hours. You will be interacting with clients who have energy, dedication and big plans. You will get to tap into the very best of yourself every day. You will have a serene and simple life that is easy to live. And most importantly, you will be happy.
