Counting Blessings and Asking for Prayers

On Friday I got a call from my friend and partner and a woman I love and adore, Mary Heidkamp who was struck by a car while riding her bike. Mary has many serious injuries and remains in the hospital. Mary and I spoke again last evening and she was counting her blessings to be alive. I share this with her and know with her fight and guts and all the prayers pouring in, she will fully recover.

If you are reading this blog, I ask you from my heart to keep Mary and the driver who hit her, who is distraught, both in your prayers and send them light and love and great healing energy.

I appreciate your loving thoughts for this outstanding human being.

Connected Energy

As you may know I have a few live events on my plate - more than usual. My friend asked me about this the other night... she asked why I just didn't stay at home and coach and teach and train.

Well, it is because I love the experience of full connected energy.

When I play with high caliber authors, mentors, coaches and colleagues, I get amped up and juiced more! When I get to be with my top clients and students and deeply connect with them in person and full out support them and share live energy with them - we all get amped up!

I simply can't be at home all the time;)

So, not only am I doing Coaching Scholarship Live Experiences, I am doing The Learning Spa and an event (secret right now!) out in California in November with Pamela Harper, Jack Rafferty and Gary De Rodriguez!

I hope I'll get to be with YOU, live and to share energy and a deep connection. These events are very unusual and different than any you have experienced and I have worked hard to make them unique and totally transformational!

Connected energy is where it is at for me!

Festive Night in Philly

Last night we went we a few couples to a great restaurant in Philadelphia where they have "Christmas dinner" a fun atmosphere and wine and cordials flowing.

The friendship was great, the laughs awesome and the food and wine rocked.

Althought it was a late play night and I get up at 5 AM for my workout, I don't feel the least bit tired and am ready to go.

Looking foward to another great day of clients, classes, students and sharing and growing and then wonderful connection tonight with a friend who is calling this evening and of course, my family time.

Ain't life great!

Personal Coaching - Doing What You Love and Loving What You Do

Cuts in healthcare jobs, salaries and benefits have prompted healthcare professionals to investigate other career paths. While nurses are inundated with paperwork, less direct patient care, short staffing and overwork, some have touted personal coaching as the next adjunct to a nursing career.

Many healthcare professionals are flocking to the field of coaching and they feel as though they have rediscovered their professional calling. The field of coaching is booming and is listed as one of the top 10 fastest growing professions in the United States. It is expected that having a personal coach will be as common as having a financial planner or a personal trainer.

Many people are struggling to create the life they really want. The field of personal coaching emerged in response to this desire for a better life. When clients hired a personal coach, people found that they were able to design a life they wanted without struggling.

Healthcare professionals are finding that they make natural coaches and have the right skill set to succeed. As a nursing practitioner, you are use to making people more comfortable, administering a dose of support and compassion, positive goal setting, training in a healthy outlook, excellent communication skills, nurturing and giving patients instructions on how to take care of themselves and maintain optimal health. Think of the skills, nurturing that led you into healthcare as you look at what makes a great coach. You already have the ability to work with a large variety of client populations, are motivated and open to new principles and applications. Nurses can lend a medical perspective to personal coaching as a profession. Many busy clients don't take the time to care for themselves as they should. Their lives are fragmented with the daily stress of work, family and chores accumulating and building. They are struggling … their lives don't flow and they are desperate to make their lives work somehow. You can help…

Healthcare professionals are going through rocky times. Many are choosing to select a more positive, healthy profession that will still allow them to have a positive impact on others. Some healthcare professionals are being forced to find new ways to supplement their incomes. For many, coaching is the answer.

A personal coach is an objective partner who is totally committed to the client's success. A coach dramatically expands the client's perspective to see new opportunities and innovative solutions, helps identify obstacles and move easily and quickly around them, assists in making better decisions with less effort and keeps the client focused to insure short-term and long-term success.

Among the many reasons to hire a coach are: the ability to make more money, spend less time working, reduce the amount of stress, balance the demands of work and family, rediscover the passion in work, put more fun in life, start or grow a business, transition into a new career and work smarter not harder.

Most coaches meet with their clients three or four times a month for 30-minute telephone sessions. This makes it easy and convenient for the client and enables the coach to build a practice without geographic boundaries. Fees for coaching services range from $250 to well over $1000 a month for highly specialized coaching.

In addition to helping others live a more balanced and satisfying life, healthcare professionals who become personal coaches enjoy other benefits. The freedom and financial benefits of coaching allow them to work less and spend more time with their families, while making more money. Successful coaches can earn six-figure incomes working from the comfort of their own homes.

We often are so caught up in daily living that we forget that we have the power to create a life that is filled with joy, passion and contentment. Coaching is a way to help people discover their American dream. A coach is a partner who, like an athletic trainer, can push us to grow, be stronger and be a winner in the game of life.

As the demand for coaching continues to grow, so do the opportunities. Many coaches choose to build a private coaching practice working with individuals, groups or businesses. Others may become corporate coaches who are hired to work internally for consulting companies or even large firms. Still others, learn coaching skills as a way to bring greater value to their role as a healthcare manager.

Again, by contrast, coaching requires little paperwork and more direct client contact. There is no shift work, just agreeing on a time that is mutually beneficial to client and coach. No punching a time clock, just flexibility, you facilitate the client to arrive at their own answers and conclusions about what works in their lives.

With personal coaching as an option, healthcare professionals once again are able to find the meaningful work they were meant to do, spend more time with family and enjoy a growing field.

Training to be a Certified Comprehensive Coach can be done from the convenience of your own phone through telephone classes and can be completed in about 6 months. Then you are on your way to a lucrative, personally rewarding and meaningful career. After all, isn't helping people one of the reasons you entered nursing to begin with?

Narrow the Niche

I had the coolest experience yesterday! A client of mine who is a personal trainer and who has been marketing to "women", narrowed his niche with my process! He now serves: women who live in exclusive neighborhoods who are ages 40-50 and want to be at their personal best weight.

I am just tickled for him.

He now has ads and targeted mailings to get out directly to his exact audience!

Yeah, baby, how I love when a client fully gets it!

Coaching rocks!

Why Am I Giving Away My Services...

Yesterday I was speaking with a top marketer who said, "What is driving you to give away free coaching and coach training?". He asked this question with a tone that said to me, "are you NUTS?"

Well, here is the deal.

I make a very nice living... I have all I desire in my life... great friends, wonderful health, great love and support... connection... peace, ease... a fantastic family... awesome students and clients and so many pleasures! My life is filled with joy and harmony and I love each and every moment and live my life with full passion.

I have this drive within me to assist others to live their lives more completely and to get all the meat from the lobster! Life IS too short!

During our awful storm this week, 2 people in my area were killed. One a young person who was killed when a large tree fell directly on him. Don't you think he was planning things, going to do things that would someday make his life better and someday going to have certain things, or be certain things or experience certain things? Someday, is over for this person. The other was a grandmother visiting from Tennessee who was in the car as a passenger. Her daughter was driving the car and her granddaughter was in the backseat and they were on their way to see her grandson play baseball. A tree crashed through the front window of the car and killed this grandmother. Don't you think there were exeperiences she was planning for someday?

I learned a decade ago to live each and every moment fully and I live as each may be my last. I have experienced my clients who were babies and young children dying, as a former health care professional... I have had friends taken suddenly by car accidents and disease that knocked them down and carried them away in the blink of an eye... so many plans, so many things they were going to do "someday".

Ok, so back to why I am giving free coaching and coach training... when I learned coaching skills about 10 years ago and became a coach shortly after that, my entire way of thinking, feeeeeeeeeeeeling, acting and being changed. I live from my inner core. I know my purpose and my daily intentions and actions are the ones which bring me the must joy and passion. I do what I do as if it were the last moment of my experience on this planet. I live my fully and get all the juice from the fruit of my life.

I have more inner harmony, a more joyful life, more ease, more love and support and connection to mind, body and spirit.

My desire to share with others how to live from this place is HUGE! I know part of my personal life purpose, desire and mission is to serve others to live their best lives! I am giving my time, my energy and my knowledge to intimate groups of people for free so that those ready to let in a new life can.

(oh, if you want to find out more or want to join us, send me a direct email: terri@terrilevine.com with 2 day experience in the subject)... you do have to apply for me to know you are really ready to live from your soul vision and life mission!

Momma Nature

We had a strange weather event last evening. Before I completed dinner, Sheba had to go out. I left my meal and took her out and noticed the sky was green in one place, black in another and light in another. It was humid and close to 100 degrees. All of the sudden winds began swirling in many directions and I got the sense we had to run home. Sheba, almost 14, can't exactly run - LOL!

We came in and I said to my Dad, "we are going to loose power and a tree is going to fall down in front"... I ran and got candles and as I lit the first one the power went out and the winds kicked up and we had over an hour of intense "hail balls" pounding the house!

Many hours later, still we sat with candles, and the sky lightened up. I looked out and our largest and healthiest pear tree had totally crashed down, barely missing one of our cars!

Power was restored early this morning. Our neighbors all have damage and we all have flooded basements, too! Ours is pretty bad:(

Most roads are closed in our town as the trees are blocking them.

Holy cow, who upset Momma Nature?

I am grateful Mark got home safely, my Dad's car was not hit, Sheba and I got in before the storm, we have power and we are safe.

I expect EASE today;)

Being Authentic

Many years ago I attended a training seminar to become a certified trainer for one of the biggest motivational speakers ever in the industry. The training experience was a full week and we had evenings free. Late one night I was taking the elevator in the hotel and bumped into the trainer who had taught us to always be in a positive frame of mind and say how things are going great. So, I said to the trainer, "how is it going?", expecting the answer we'd been taught to give. The trainer said, "ok". I felt so let down and never fully resonated with this famous motivational speaker and felt them to be a fraud.

If you call yourself a motivational speaker, a life coach, an empowerment coach, a positive person, a spiritual coach or person or claim any title, you need to BE that and live that and breath that!

Yesterday at lunch with a friend, she pointed out how a coach we both know who claims to be "spiritual" takes actions and does things far out of alignment and that people are "getting this" and running from this person and see this person as a total fraud.

It is clear to me that you must BE authentic. Be WHO you are all the time. Live your truths.

Great Day!

Today I spent the entire day with a wonderful client who flew in from Arizona and we worked together all day! I feel so blessed to know such amazing people and to be able to share a day with them in person! I get so jazzed and energized from this work that I am thinking of doing a few more days where clients can come and work with me for a full day in person.

I just am flowing with gratitude for great people, great connections and say thank you to all those who allow me to serve them in some way.

How I Manifest

Coaching a client today she remarked that she was amazed at how quickly I manifested things I wrote or talked about. She asked me to share my personal process. I thought others might enjoy this, too, so here you go. You can personalize it and make it yours!

1. I have a vision map that I keep on my wall and look at and feeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeel daily!
2. I think and feeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeel my ONE focused vision all day long.
3. I EXPECT to have my vision come to me but don't exactly know how and don't need to know how.
4. I meditate for about 15 minutes a day on my one vision.
5. I stop myself whenever I am thinking I can't have my vision and spend time and energy feeeeeeeeeeeeeling my vision.
6. I live and think as if I have my vision already.
7. I take one action every day towards my vision.

Having this ONE focus is magical for me!

I will give you an example of something I manifested:)

When planning our vacation to Aruba I wanted to manifest an experience of feeeeeeeeeeeeeeeling deeply connected to nature, my soul, my husband and the human race. I focused on this desire for about 30 days prior to the trip and the 4th day of the trip, it came... I won't share the details, but I hope you can see them on my face and in my energy here:

Create An Upward Spiral

I was teaching a class yesterday with The Coaching Institute VIP students and we were talking about how we and our clients get into negative spiral thinking. One negative thought pulls in a like negative thought, then another and another and on it goes.

Then later last night I was working on a chapter of a new book I am writing and decided to teach the kind of thinking I do as a systematic process. It is the opposite of negative spiral thinking and works on the same principles... like thoughts attract like thoughts. I wake up each day and grab a positive thought before I get out of bed... then as I work out, shower, eat and get ready to begin my work or play day, I grab more and more positive thoughts and any time I can during the day I amp those up and IF I find a negative thought lurking around, I quickly pull in positive thoughts.

People also remark that I am in a good mood even when stuff is not quite right in my life experience. This is because I control my own thoughts and I know I choose how I want to think and feeeeeeeeeeeeeel and act in each moment.

Try the upward spiral!

Can Anyone Coach?

I listened to an interview with a "spiritual coach" the other day who claimed anyone can be a coach. I beg to disagree and offer my own opinion. I find that positive people focused on finding good in their lives, good in others and who live and breathe positive thoughts, feelings and actions are the people who make great coaches. People who have the life and work experience that flows from positive energy and who really want self-enlightenment and to assist others on their journey - those are great coaches!

People who live in a negative what is "wrong" mindset, who are out to get others, who don't care about human beings and invent and find problems, really need to find another profession.

A successful coach has high self esteem, full regard for others and lives in a postive way.

If you have those traits, YES, become a coach in 2006.

More Vacation!

I love vacation as it gives me time to connect with nature, new sites and to read, walk, meditate and journal as well as to deeply and fully be with my amazing husband. I have enjoyed 9 great books and one of the most beautiful beaches in the world (considered one of the top 10 in the world by Conde Nast Magazine) and great fresh fish (while we ate with the sunset over our shoulders, our toes in the sand and music playing in the background) and most of all talking to new people and learning a lot about a new country. I was vacationing at "One Happy Island" ... if that tells you the name of the Island, you've been there, too, I bet! I will be going back to work with their tourist department on a project about Working Happy and One Happy Island - what a great marriage!

So, my theme for today??? One Happy Life!
