20 Ways to Find, Sustain and Share Happiness

Sometimes we get so caught up in the stress and pressures of juggling career and family commitments, building our business, networking, studying, budgeting, and so on, that we forget what is important. We forget that our basic birthright is to be happy, and that is such a simple concept that often it slips under our radar.

So let's remember the basics and incorporate some happiness into our daily lives. And if Happiness was a soup, here are the ingredients…

We are all connected, yet we are each unique and have special gifts and talents. We are ALL ‘okay’! We also tend to label everything as right or wrong, good or bad, etc. Shift to the belief that no one is right or wrong, good or bad … they just are and accept that. Doing so will ‘free’ you!

Release concern about others judging you! What is right for you does not have to be right for another. It is easier to be yourself when you stop coming from a place of wondering who or what is judging you!

Don’t try to change or improve others to meet your standards or to believe what you believe. You are not responsible for others in this way – again, free yourself!

Are you unhappy at work, in a relationship, with your appearance, etc? What’s stopping you from changing this? People become stuck because of fear… fear of failing, fear of ridicule, fear of the unknown … Identify your fears and work to overcome them.

What ‘steps’ can you start taking today that will result in how you want things to be? Small steps will still get you to that ‘destination’, but you’ll never get there if you don’t make a start!

Get rid of negative self-beliefs… I’m not good enough, smart enough, pretty enough. If your life depended on finding good things within yourself, you’d find them… start looking!

We fret over everything as if we’re supposed to be perfect in everything we do. We put ourselves down at the slightest imperfection. Well, get over yourself! Everybody makes mistakes – learn from them, let them go, and move on!

Know your values! We have our own sense of integrity and we are happiest when our goals and achievements match our principles. As we move towards the habits that align with our integrity, we feel good about ourselves.

Know, specifically, what makes you feel happiness, otherwise, how do you expect to bring this into your life if you don’t know what it is?

Self-improvement! When we develop ourselves, we eliminate many disbeliefs about ourselves; we stop putting ourselves down; we see possibilities; we feel peaceful, optimistic and joyous; and we have more fun.

When was the last time you laughed at yourself, or at anything? Can’t find your sense of humor? Seek out funny movies, funny books, or read the jokes pages on the web. Start with a chuckle and work your way up!

“Lighten up” is a popular phrase for good reason. We have a tendency to take ourselves, our work, and our relationships too seriously. Some things are serious, but for the rest, keep it in perspective!

Think back to being a child, running around the playground, laughing, catching fireflies, and rolling in the snow. Remember how you felt, how you were silly and didn’t care if anybody looked at you? What would it take to recreate those feelings today?

As we become adults we forget what it’s like to play games - we’re too concerned about how other people will perceive us. What are you afraid of? Has it occurred to you that others may think, “Gosh, I wish I wasn’t so hung-up so I could do that too!”?

Do something completely out of character and childish this week. Go buy a silly toy. One of my clients plays with Mr. Potato Head! Find a way of making a heavy situation become light by asking yourself, “How would I respond to this if I were a child?”

Give other people permission to laugh. Put a clown’s nose on in the car and wave to other people as you drive around. Think of all the ways that you can play games and have fun, and do that with other people you come in contact with everyday.

Identify your Stress triggers! Our fast-paced lives, job pressures, the environment, etc. all lead to an excess of stressors for us. Manage your stress with Meditation, hobbies, exercise, yoga, nature walks, friends, etc.

Don’t say “I’ll be happy if…” or “I’ll be happy when…”. You only have “now” – you cannot live in the future until it becomes your present – your ‘now’. You have no choice – it’s be happy “now” or never!

Finally, don’t put conditions on your happiness! Happiness is a state of mind, regardless of our situation. Happiness is a choice we make. Choose to be happy today!

Exciting New One Day Seminar with Terri Levine

When and Where? Friday, May 21 in Horsham, PA

Discover my secrets at this one-day seminar – guaranteed proven ways that you can use immediately to extract more profit from your business. Get a full day of my time, my training, your own profitability manual, and lunch.

Learn the strategies that are proven to work for all kinds of businesses. My clients range from chiropractors, attorneys, coaches, consultants, authors, manufacturers, technology experts, accountants, etc.

Some of my clients have franchises. Some are independent consultants. Some are business coaches or life coaches. Some own software companies. Some own retail stores. Some are Internet marketers.

It doesn’t matter what business you are in, the information I will share will apply to you.

Does this describe you?

* You own a business that’s doing well, but you know it could do better. You’re utterly intent on taking your business to the next level – fast. You recognize that expert advice, help and mentoring will make it easier for you to achieve your business goals as quickly as you want – but so far, you haven’t found exactly what you need.

* You happily invest time, money and energy making your business the success it deserves to be, but you need help with the strategy. Or you have the strategy but don’t know how to find new customers or enter new markets.

* You work very hard - maybe very long hours – and fear your work/life balance is out of kilter. You look forward to the day when your business will run on autopilot and create profit for you and your family to enjoy.

* You spend far too much time ‘plate-spinning’ – the urgent gets in the way of important – and you’re not always sure which is which.

* You don’t have anyone to discuss ideas with. You can’t ask your staff, suppliers or customers and the phrase ‘it’s lonely at the top’ is familiar.

Where do you go for unbiased advice on how to grow your company and take it to the next level? At this seminar, you’ll meet and exchange ideas with people just like you – all keen to grow their businesses, all frustrated that things just don’t happen fast enough.

Come and join me at my next seminar and see how to improve your marketing and your profits…

Click here to Register Now for just $150! http://tinyurl.com/y9dggc8

Bad marketing kills your profits and costs you clients. Your ‘loyal’ customers defect. And they never come back. Bad marketing lets even inferior competitors steal the business you’ve fought so hard to get.

This seminar could put thousands on your bottom line over the next 12 months.

So why am I charging $150 for a day worth $550 – especially when over 200 previous attendees have found it so valuable?

I do it because it’s my shop window, a way to show how I help you build your business much faster. If you like what you see, maybe you will become one of my exclusive private VIP clients. There’s no obligation, but that’s why I open my doors to all business owners who meet three criteria.

The first 20 tickets at the seminar are $150. Subsequent tickets are $550. You can get your $150 ticket and save $400 by enrolling now. Why not do it right now, while I still have places?

And if you register before April 12 you’ll receive these THREE bonuses (worth $267):

Bonus 1: 60 Day Coaching Challenge to get you moving on sales, marketing and internet marketing
Bonus 2: Building an Extraordinary Business
Bonus 3: A 45 Minute in Depth Coaching Video with Terri Levine

You’re probably sick to death of people promising all the answers to your business problems. I make no such claims. But the 81 VIP clients I work with make more money, have more time and are infinitely more confident about their future – otherwise they wouldn’t keep working with us, year after year. And THEY ALL started by coming to one of these seminars.

Do you qualify for this subsidized seminar? Read more and find out here:

http://ping.fm/lmH0X

If you qualify, I will give you a day that leaves you bubbling with ideas you can put to work the minute you leave. Proven, simple ideas that work no matter what your business is.

You’ll get all my secrets of how I have had super successful businesses in many industries over the past 30 years and how I have coached over 5,000 businesses in 234 industries to do the same. I will show you how I have become a super star business owner – plus give you the secrets of how to get your message across so powerfully that you multiply the sales leads you get – and transform your bottom line.

Click here to Register Now for just $150! http://tinyurl.com/y9dggc8

I hope to meet and talk to you there. If you have any questions – any at all – just give us a call 877-401-6165.

To your business success!
Terri

P.S. The first 20 business owners to register receive a ticket FOR JUST $150. Additional tickets are $550. Register today to save your place. And if you do it right now you’ll receive the THREE Bonuses (worth $297)

P.P.S. The day is subsidized, but not free, to get a high quality of attendees. But I wager you’ll think it’s worth a good $550. In fact, if you don’t agree by lunch break – for any reason or no reason at all – I’ll gladly refund your $150 in full, without question.

What Can Be Changed In Management To Improve Bottom Line Results

By this stage I am probably preaching to the converted, but on the realisation that every year a new, inexperienced generation enters the workforce who face similar challenges to those with managerial aspirations who went before them, this information is still valid.

When change is introduced into the workplace there is often a degree of resistance, anxiety and sometimes even ridicule of the new methodologies. People equate change with difficulty and something to be feared. This is where open communication is so important and it starts right at the very top.

If you don’t have the full support and understanding from those in key management positions, any organizational changes being made are going to be thwart with difficulties. It is up to CEO’s and Presidents to champion the cause and ensure their managerial teams are also in full support, so that it can filter down through the ranks more smoothly.

Here are 5 areas where guidance and training can help:

• Don’t just hand a list of problems and preferred outcomes or objectives to a managerial team and expect them to go ahead and get to work on it. They, too, need guidelines and guidance, reassurance, and training. Many Managers get to where they are through natural progression up the corporate ladder, climbing their way on their years of experience. But this doesn’t mean they know everything they should know about being an effective Manager.

• All the brilliant change plans in the world will fail if those who are responsible for the action have no idea what they are doing and possibly, don’t believe in what they are doing. So the first step is ensuring the managerial teams understand what changes are being made and why, and what outcomes are being sought and why. They then need training in the best methodologies for introducing the new systems to their own departments. This requires a whole set of skills many managers lack, simply because it has not been something they have been taught before. This includes people skills, communication skills, and negotiating skills.

• Even if changes are not being introduced, Managers who want to improve the bottom line results of their departments need these same skills. It is a well known fact that a happy workforce is a productive workforce. Happy workers who enjoy a high morale and feel good about their employer take more pride in their work and wish to see “their” company succeed. They look after the customers better. They take less sick leave. They find more efficient ways of doing things. They participate more. They work harder. This is good news for any company’s bottom line.

• The Manager in charge of this type of workforce is one who knows how to listen to his staff. He respects his staff and their abilities. He asks his staff for their input and promotes a team spirit. He cares about the individuals in his department and realizes that their individual success in a team environment results in success for the company. He knows how to handle trouble-makers and grizzlers and convert them into happy, productive employees. He understands the process of coaching and mentoring those in his care to produce the best results. He is clear with his instructions, and does not play the Dictator role. He does not waste his time looking over shoulders. Instead, he is available for his staff to bring challenges to for discussion and resolution.
• Learning to listen, observe, trust, guide and coach employees is not something that miraculously occurs when somebody is promoted to a Managerial position. It is up to the Company to assist their Managers by providing training for them enabling them to be effective Coach-Mentor-Managers. Too often, when a department is in trouble, blame is laid at the departmental Manager or Supervisor’s door. There is no excuse for a company putting somebody in a position of authority when they are ill equipped to handle it. This will be a recurring problem until organizations realize that managing people is not a natural ability inherited with a managerial title. Resources are available to train Organizational management teams, and often, all it takes is a phone call to put it into action.

When all is said and done, a company’s bottom line relies heavily on the employees who make up the “company”. Miserable, unhappy and poorly trained workers and managers produce miserable results. Happy, well trained workers and managers are more productive and fruitful in their endeavors, creating successful and prosperous companies.

Was I Lucky? By Guest writer, Patric Chan

My story is nothing inspirational compare to those who had gone through extreme adversity to be successful today. There are people who were bankrupt, lost their family, lost their legs or hands, living on the street, etc but risen up to success. I was not in any of these categories; I am a 'regular' guy who was lucky.

First, I was lucky to discover that there are such things as personal development stuff out there when I was young. That is the fastest way to learn.

At the same time, I was also being lied into believing that all of this stuff works too. For instance, when I was doing sales by selling greeting cards from door-to-door last time, I read a motivational book. Problem is, the advice was stupid but I took it without a second thought. The book said that I should be persistence and ignore all of the rejections because I can do it. That's partially true but doesn't apply to everyone.

Now, that concept works but it's stupid because it's teaching me to work hard like a dog than working smart.

By end of the day, I would be very tired physically and mentally. Imagine walking under the hot Sun selling cards to passerby and being ignored and sometimes, being scolded. Then continue doing that because "I can". Now, how smart is that success strategy?

I was lucky to meet direct and indirect mentors in my life. Two people that I have learned immensely from are Anthony Robbins and Robert Kiyosaki when I was young.

I'm talking about total immersion. I've bought almost all of their books/courses even when I wasn't having a lot of money at that time and attended their seminars when I can afford.

As you can tell by now, there's no ONE SECRET to success. There are plenty of them.

Another of my success secret, which is known by most people but they're just plain ignorant or egoistic to admit or accept is this-- to learn from others. I understand the value of learning from other people and even if I already knew the answer, I will still seek for more wisdom,

If you come to my house, you'll see books and courses about Law of Attraction because I'm doing my best to learn this success principle.

For instance, I already know what Robert Kiyosaki is going to teach again in his seminar but I'll still try to attend. He could be telling the story of his Rich Dad for the 10th times, but throughout the seminar, I will bring home at least one value that will worth more than 10 times my investment.

To me, I wasn't looking for the magic pill when I’m learning - I'm just looking for the 'Aha' moment. When I go through programs, instead of thinking, “is this program worth it”, my mind is only focus to get one value. Let's say I spend $15 for a book and I don't learn anything except for getting one value, it's definitely worth more than $15 because it'll be with me forever. $15 will be gone tomorrow.

I was lucky to understand about 'abundance' many years ago. Abundance work in many forms - especially, when it comes to obtaining wisdom. No matter how much you share your knowledge, it won't deplete. It doesn't mean that if you share 50%, then you'll only have 50% left. As a matter of fact, it'll increase from 100% to 110% or more because when you share, you'll uncover new information. At the same time, when you're learning, don't be despair if you feel like you're not getting anything from a course, otherwise, you're living in a scarcity world of greed.

I was lucky to fail many times in my life. This also has to do with over-absorption of personal development stuff that doesn't work (smile)

Because I was able to fail many times, I can afford to get back into the game again. I'm not talking of major failures like bankruptcy and stuff like that... thank God I don't have to go through those. Remember, I'm a regular guy like you and the rest of the people in the world. A regular guy who was lucky enough to be where I am today.

There's a saying that there is no such thing as failure but a new learning curve - I like that thought but that's more like 'thinking positive', you know. If you keep on doing this 'positive thinking' thingy, it might work for you well or you can also lose it all if your mind's not strong enough. That's your call.

I was able to realize that failure is just PART OF THE GAME of success. You can't win all the time. You have to lose once in a while and get that into your brain. Each time Michael Jordan makes a shot to the basket, it’s not always an accurate shot. Or when Tiger Woods hits the ball, it doesn’t always go in the hole. They 'lose' too but at the end of the day, they win.

I was also lucky to be ridiculed and mocked.

I have a dream - to become a millionaire before 30. They laugh at me, of course not in my face. When I attend personal improvement seminars, attendees who are already successful don't seem to enjoy my company because they don't see the benefit of mixing with a 'loser'. Some even brushed me away. Well, I achieved my dream many years before I reach 30.

When I said I want to buy a big car, they ask me not to dream too much because I was just riding a motorcycle that time. Look who’s laughing now.

People tend to ridicule you when you're not like them because they don't have the potential to achieve what you want to achieve - some don't even dare to dream. Let them do that to you and the best part is when you can prove them wrong. Not because you're trying to feed your own ego, but be kind to inspire them of possibilities.

I was lucky.
