Getting Over Thanksgiving…

Were you thankful this year? Did you have a list? Yes? No? If you didn't have a list... if things are soooo bad for you that there was not one single thing you felt thankful for, go check out my blog at http://www.comprehensivecoachingu.com/Blog/2006/11/happy-thanksgiving.html

Otherwise, let's assume you were thankful for what you have and you didn't burn the turkey and you got through Thanksgiving this year relatively unscathed and feeling "grateful".

Don't leave it there...build on what you have so you will have even more to be grateful and thankful for next year, unless of course, you have reached what you consider to be the pinnacle of your life and have no desire to change a thing.

If you do have the desire to change something - work on it now. Start now. Keep a journal so that next year, you can see what new things have arrived for you to be thankful for at Thanksgiving. You don't have to only be thankful for things that are personal to you - you can be thankful that where you live is safe... that your family is safe... that your son won his...whatever...competition... that you got your promotion...that nothing in your house broke down and needed expensive repairs the past 12 months... that you got the loan for that new car... that your other child, the naughty one, stayed out of jail... that your Aunt who has been ill, got better... that your neighbor who made life hell has moved and you have a new, friendlier tenant living next door...

Start your journal now so next Thanksgiving you will have no trouble finding many things to be thankful for. Sometimes, so many things happen within the space of 12 months that we simply forget and we just need the reminder!
