I did a call last night for people in MLMs (direct selling, independent marketers, network marketers, distributors, party plans, etc) and I shared the secrets that MLM's don't teach. I really believe in network marketing and know it can work, but not under the models set up.
The current model is to have you sell the opportunity, get in as many people as you can... because they know over 90% of the people will fail and they are hoping one person you brought in might be successful.
This doesn't make YOU money.
People you bring in just based on the opportunity, get in for money. They get right out when they don't make money.
You can make 10k or more in this business, IF you don't follow what MLM's teach you!

I was delighted that after I shared the secrets this group really got it!
I know that through more MLM coaching on the secrets, they will apply the secrets and prosper and that feeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeels good to me!

So, what are the secrets? I'm a coach and I recently attended a networking meeting that I thought was simply networking. No, it was network marketing. I thought, I know noting about this stuff!
ReplyDeleteBut, something lead me to the meeting. I was meant to be there to help them in their marketing. I could immediately gather some of methods were simply wrong!
I do marketing workshops for small business owners and service professionals, in general. I am a Get Clients Now! Facilitator.
Then, all of a sudden, I'm in a bookstore and a magazine catches my eye. It "Empowering Women." I've never heard of it or read it. However, the whole issue is devoted to Cookie Lee. I couldn't stop reading these stories. I thought back to the group I accidently fell in with ... I thought, I don't want to do a MLM business, but I want to help them learn to marketing it appropriately. I'm certain I don't have all of the answers for them; however, I want to learn. Something was pulling me there - I'm supposed to be serving this group.
So, back to my question....What are the secrets?
I read through much of your site and I enjoyed the story of your journey to coaching. It appears it is a "calling" for you just as it is for me. Thanks for sharing your story.
